The Rolling Stones’ played their first concert since drummer Charlie Watts died on Monday in New England, according to the Boston Globe.
The exclusive party was put on by New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, with 275 guests in attendance in an enclosed tent on the Patriots’ football field at Gillette Stadium.
As you’ll see below, Mick Jagger got emotional when talking about Watts. Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood came over to support Jagger as he was talking from the stage.
The band was gearing up for the US tour, which officially kicks off on Sunday with Steve Jordan on drums.
Watts died Aug. 24 in London at the age of 80.
