We lost a great drummer today in Charlie Watts of The Rolling Stones. Not flashy, with a seven piece drum kit, but Watts gave those songs what they needed, with all of those great grooves. Keith Richards once said that Watts WAS the Rolling Stones and that he couldn’t imagine having another drummer in the band. Those classic songs definitely would not have the same feel with somebody else.
Here, I take a look at my five personal favorite Charlie Watts moments in the Stones, and tell stories about the man himself. Yes, that includes that one famous Mick Jagger story.
